Peter Maffay welcomes Nobel Prize for Miller

Peter Maffay (60), Transylvania-born singer, has just got the Nobel Prize in Literature for the Romanian-German writer Herta Müller. "I thought that was so great that she got the prize," said the 60-year-old the "Sueddeutsche Zeitung". At this moment the Banat and Transylvania had probably been perceived correctly the first time. "These people were eingekastelt but that no one has taken note of," said the singer. Maffay came in 1963 from Romania in the Federal Republic.
