Iris Berben was not easy as a single parent

Actress Iris Berben has struggled as a single mother in the 1970s against prejudice. "I had my first child almost on loan, there were unannounced visits to check whether I serve it well," says the 59-year-old in "friend" of the time setting of the youth staff. "A teacher swore at Oliver as a bastard." They've even lost the guardianship of her son because she would not give the father. Yet these experiences Berben also sees positive. "All this has made me stronger," she said.
